Microsoft Develops Tool Now will Scan Chats for finding Pedophiles In Online Chat Platforms

In the latest, we see Microsoft has come out with a tool called Artemis which is competent enough to scan the online chat platforms for finding out the pedophiles that are seen lurking over the net to assault the kids. This tool will be then sued in order to find out the predators who are trying to groom the kids for sexual purposes, which end up using the chat feature using different multiplayer video platforms. In a recently released post by the company, it said that the tool can be easily shared over the NGO along with the other messaging or gaming service developers.

The Project Artemis will then automatically scan the text-based conversations along with the rates that come along with the probability, which any user would be trying to sexually exploit the kids. In the same blog post, it also said that the company it is the patent from the company, which is being registered as a technique that is applied to all the historical text-based chat communications. It will then help in evaluating and rating the conversation features along with assigning the overall probability rating. This rating can then be used like a determiner as established by any individual companies that are seen executing the technique like the way it has flagged the conversation that is sent out to human moderators for the review.

The human moderators are seen reviewing the flagged communications for finding out if they can be reported to the law enforcement groups. The tool was created at Dartmouth College by a competent team of students and professionals led by Mr. Hany Farid the known digital forensics expert. the company has worked with other experts and developers from companies like Roblox and Kik. The company further said that the licensing along with the adoption of the technique that are required would be managed by the company called Thorn from January 10, 2020. Now, we see companies that are seen adopting or testing tools are now being asked to call up Thorn.
