Google Maps has Completed 10 million miles Photos in Street View

The Street View is one of the latest things that can make Google have its mascot in the world. Yes, it is since it has completed capturing a whopping 10 million photos on the said location that will be a historical figure to remember in the tech world in the coming times. This Friday, the tech giant announced that the car and the devices from Google capturing photos for Street View has crossed the 10 million mark, which as per experts is something that can circle our planet for more than 400 times at a stretch.

It is also reported that Google Earth, which happens to be an aerial mapping service giant has more than 36 million square miles of satellite imagery when it comes to giving the users to browse as options. Having said that, the tech giant has mapped 98% of the people who live in this world. This is perhaps the first time when the Tech Giant – Google has released the figure. Having more than one billion monthly users, Google Maps has emerged out the number one tech company that gives the potent solution to people of all parts of the world. It has also emerged as a solution provider for delivering the local advertising.

It was Larry Page, co-founder of Google who came out with the Stree View feature in Google Maps in 2004. The idea of Page was to develop a 360-degree map of the planet earth, which can go beyond the highways, roads, streets and include things like landmarks, mountain ranges and alleyways. To get the photos, the company hired uses cars, the backpacks known as “trekkers” often carried out by hikers/ or even the ones that are strapped to camels and sheep. The director of Google Maps, Russell claimed that the company only has imagery in its core.

So, if you think that the company has enough data and information about us, make sure you add that the company has more on your surroundings like roads, highways, landmarks and many more things rather than keeping a check over your online activities. It generates a whopping 140 billion USD on a yearly basis as its revenue by targeted ads and other things with its products. And as per the insider, the figure is more than this when we take Google Maps into our consideration.

Google has always been ambitious when it comes to rolling out ambitious satellite plans. It has already got the high end plans in the form of Sky Box, which is a high end and high resolution satellite imaging company, which Google would keep the maps of the company updated all the time. Sky Box has also the capability to offer analytics and intelligence with the help of aerial photography. For instance, a company could easily predict the economic trends with the help of finding out the containers in an oil facility. Today Google is beyond being a simple navigation tool. All thanks to the integration of features like info on flight, hotel bookings and food delivery choices. However, in its core it still claim to be a tool that helps people to reach places.
