Google will also provide the methodology of the voting and election. The data is fetching from authoritative and trusted sources.

When People will start searching on Google Search and Maps for where to vote or similar search queries, it will provide the locations of ballot drop box locations near to you. When people will search for things like “early voting locations” or “ballot drop boxes near me” on Google, they will find details on where they can vote in person or return their mail-in ballot, no matter if they’re voting early or on Election Day. It will also include bring useful reminders and will update the status of ballot if that is completed and sealed.

Google Assistance will also guide the details on voting and ballot drop box locations on smart speakers or phones. Just speak “Hey Google, where do I vote?” and rest Google will assist what to do and how to do it.

When someone choose the ballot box location through Google Search or Google Assistance, it will take person to Google maps to follow the route and will give the time to reach there and traffic updates as usual. The official data on this feature comes from the Voting Information Project, a partnership between Democracy Works, a nonprofit, nonpartisan civic organization, and state election officers. Voting Information Project plans to have more than 200,000 voting places available throughout the country.  To make more voting locations available, specially places where voting locations are not yet available they will surface state and local election websites.
