Facebook new diktat stops its employees to travel to China Coronavirus spreads

Facebook claimed that the company has taken this step in the lieu of taking care of their employees’ health and well being of their employees as the China is facing the growth of the virus called Corona virus.

Anything can happen when it comes to the security of the company’s resources. This can include both the material and manpower resources. The companies take all care to make sure they go all safe when it comes to viruses or lethal malicious code attacks. Of late, Facebook has emerged out as an important example in this regard. In its recent diktat to its employees to stop their visit to China as the country is facing the growth of the virus called Coronavirus. Like other companies, which have prevented its staff to travel to China, Facebook too has come up with similar sort of preventive measures for their employees as the company wants to avert the attack of coronavirus.

Talking about the issue, the spokesperson of Facebook claimed that the company has taken this step in the lieu of taking care of their employees’ health and well being of their employees. The travel restriction by the company came into effect this Monday when the social media giant – Facebook seemed to have banned all the non-essential travel to the said nation. However, if the employees still want to visit the country, they need to first take the approval and then proceed for the same. On the contrary, the employees working for Chinese clients can work from home rather than traveling to China claimed the spokesperson of Facebook.

Talking about the same, Facebook was seen taking the step as one of the key US-based Technology Company that has banned all the people working with them to travel to China. The others, however, are the ones who have also restricted their employees but these do not fall under the garb of the technology domain. These include Disney, Starbucks, McDonald’s, and Ford Motor who have then seen either by suspending the operations or instituted travel restrictions there. On similar lines, the other tech giant which is gearing up on the same lines is Apple, which is all set to share falling over Monday amid the concerns, which the company has seen coming upon the higher revenue exposure in China.

It would be seen hurting by putting an impact over the coronavirus that could be seen over consumer spending. This is really interesting on the part of Facebook to embark upon with such a diktat. It is noteworthy to check that the said virus has already taken more than 100 people in its garb and the total figure has gone up to an alarming one reaching 4600. Most of the death tolls have happened in places like Wuhan in China, however, with just last week, more than five deaths have been reports in the US alone.
