340 Amazon employees On Risk to Lose their Jobs for their agitation on company’s external communications policy

In a recent buzz in world top’s e-commerce company – Amazon, there is agitation by 340 employees of the company against their company’s external communications policy. As per a report published in the Sunday report in a local media by advocacy group Amazon Employees on an issue like Climate Justice. This certainly includes the signatures and quotes from the Amazon employees, which seemed to have been named all over the divisions of the company. With their participation in this agitation, the company employees are treading the path of defying the external communications policy of the company that prohibits its employees to talk on the business without getting approval from the top management.

Amazon has contributed in the global economy with its participation where it has created a tangible impact over several issues claimed the principal engineer called Michael Sokolov at Amazon. With the expectation of the employees on the rise, one can maintain silence on such issues and measure the impact on them that would remain very much reprehensible overreach claimed one employee who is very much proud of taking the opportunity to showcase their unwillingness to comply. The very agitation seen from the company was primarily carried out by two Amazon employees that have made the company feel threatened for terminating for publically castigating companies policies on climate.

Some of the employees who are part of this protest were even warned for the same. Earlier this month, we have seen employees of other departments like design and software were warned for their stance on climate change. Amazon was seen motivating the employees to engage with their team inside the company over their issues including sustainability. Employees have the option to voice their views by submitted their queries at the all-hands meetings or joining the internal interest groups that attend the lunches during their office hours keeping even their discussions are confidential.

While a slew of employees were seen getting engaged constructively with the same, many coming from the other teams in Amazon seemed working on sustainability and other issues. We have external communications policy that tends to allow the employees for publically misrepresenting and disparaging over the hard work of their colleagues who have embarked with developing the right set of solutions to all these tough issues claimed the statement the Amazon spokesperson. The employees agitating went on to the next level demanding to shut down Ring that has been creating issues to the climate change. In other words, the employees are demanding the company to act upon the pressing issue of the environment, which is likely to backfire them at the cost of their jobs.
