As per the recent development, the users now have additional control for the contact adding up to your group, which was available for the beta users. The Facebook owned group had brought yet another update last month bringing WhatsApp for the iPhone users with additional privacy settings. However, it was only available for the selected users. The WhatsApp certainly includes the new feature like “My Contacts Except…” option, which ends up replacing the earlier “Nobody” option that fall under the group privacy settings.
In order to find out the updates privacy setting for groups, you can find the same over the settings menu on your WhatsApp and then tap over the Account followed by Privacy and Groups. You can then find the My Contracts Except Option there just sitting beside the current Everyone and My Contacts. If you have chosen any new option from any updated group for privacy setting then the admin can be restricted from adding any other contacts to the group. If you remember in April, the messaging platform has tried to devise a system to prevent the spam group over the platform to add the privacy settings specifically for the groups.
However, the WhatsApp officials have disclosed the idea in one of their earlier blog posts saying that the initial rollout will soon be replacing the current Nobody Option withthe My Contacts Except option.
