For the Windows 7 users, Microsoft has announced the end to support from 14th Jan 2020.

So, come the 14th Jan 2020 and we see the Microsoft ending up its support claims the latest blog post over the Microsoft Support web page. The pages revealed that the Windows 7 that came into effect on 22nd October 2009 will stop to offer the required support. This is done particularly to focus more on supporting the users with newer technologies and thus offering smarter and better experiences. The pages proclaimed that all the technical assistance and the required software updates from the Windows Update, which can help to protect your PC will not be available for the product.

Talking about the same, Microsoft recommended users move to Windows 10 at times before Jan 2020, which means that the users will not be suffering with the non-availability of support for Windows 7. Further, the company claimed that if people still want to use their Desktop or laptops with the required Operating System of Windows with or without the security and software update, they will be at risk for posing greater amount of risk for trojan horses along with malware and viruses. 

Although the company has given the promotional free upgrade that  offer the Windows 10 was seen released, which seemed to have expired in July 2016, but still the users can easily update their operating systems to Windows 10 without putting any money. The tech giant do not just talk about about the free upgrade of the Windows 10 at the moment, rather they have urged the users to buy the latest version to get the genuine Windows 7 or  higher versions like Windows 8.1 licences. Also, the company is giving the option to upgrade the systems to Windows 10 for free seeking the help of company’s Windows 10 Media Creation Tool claims the reports of Bleeding Computers.

So, when it comes to upgrading the systems to Windows 10, you can do the same with the following steps: 

Go to the Windows 10 download page.

Click ‘Download Tool now’ button where you need to download the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool.

Open the Media Creation Tool and check on the licenCe terms.

With this, you get the option to ‘Upgrade this PC now’ and then click on Next.

This will prompt the users to keep everything under the start from scratch. Now, all you need to do is to ‘Keep personal files and apps’ and then check on the option ‘Continue’ and click it.

This will then allow the install button to appear and then Windows 10 would start getting installed. The process then need some time to see the computer starting the same for a few times. 

Once you see the Windows 10 installing the same, users will then be connected to the Open Settings and then you need to activate by connecting the internet to get a digital licence.
