This feature seemed to have been announced with Build 19536 and the company claims that the users would be given with a new section in their Windows Update section when it comes to managing the optional updates without the third party software or the Device Manager. The Optional Updates at Windows Update would help in enabling you to find different optional updates like the monthly non-security or the drivers updates getting them in a single place. This simply means that you would no longer would be needed to use any application of device manager when it comes to updating any specific driver.
As per Microsoft, now the Windows Update would automatically going to keep a track on drivers update thing, however, the Optional Updates option will help you in offering you a better control over things like installation and updates for a couple of drivers. As per the company officials, they seemed to be working on making it easier to update the drivers along with other updates like the monthly non-security quality and feature updates at a single place. It is still not clear if we see Microsoft unable to roll out with the feature of Optional Updates along with Windows 10 version 2004. Although this feature is unavailable as yet, it is likely to get in 2020 in sometime.
