Facebook is likely to face some issues from the FTC or the Federal Trade Commission as the agency could block the Social Media giant’s latest efforts of integrating all of its products together. The company has announced to bring its products including Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp, on antitrust grounds claims the leading news organ Wall Street Journal claims this Thursday. As per the sources close to the newspaper, the FTC officials claimed that it may send notice to Facebook in association with making all its products come together.
This move is likely to help small competitors stay in the market and stop social media giants like Facebook to take things for a ride. As per reports, the move of FTC is expected to be brought on paper by a five-member committee. On the other side, we see the company Facebook shares losing 3 percent of its news in the market. The CEO of the company, Mr. Mark Zuckerberg claimed that Facebook is only combining all its apps just to enhance the user experience rather than clamping down its rivals and make things difficult to break the company.
On the other side, the FTC has refused to comment when asked to share their views on it. Also, Facebook has denied speaking on this issue.
