Now, apart from using Google Meet, users can have the choice of making calls using Gmail now. Google Meet users do not have to worry about the limitations they faced for the meeting to wrap up in a stipulated time frame with it.

Users who often are into making video calls using Google then they have some good news. Now, apart from using Google Meet, users can have the choice of making calls using Gmail now. Yes, this is right, with the latest announcement from the tech giant, the company is now allowing its users to use Google Meet for not less than 24 hours at a stretch. Earlier, the company had allowed its users with this feature till 31st of March, however, with the recent update, one can find them extending the same for till June 2021. The company has tweeted about the same from its official Twitter handle announcing this news along with giving the link as well to avail these services till June 2021.

With this, users do not have to worry about the limitations they faced for the meeting to wrap up in a stipulated time frame with it. Earlier, the company has announced that the users of Gmail can use Hangout for calling the meetings, now it has been rebranded as Google Meet since the past one year as it turned a big hit during the pandemic times. It had unlimited options only for the paid users and not the other users. However, with this update coming from the company, users can now hear that everyone including the paid and free users can avail these services till June 2021 and beyond the said date, only the paid users will be able to avail these services.

This feature was available for the users earlier last month only for the free users, however, the company has now pushed ahead the date as said in their tweet. The feature was earlier available for Gmail users only till 30th September 2020 but then the company pushed the same till March 31st of this year. Now, once again the users have pushed the availability of free usage till June. Earlier, the company also rolled out a feature wherein it allowed the smartphone users to get the view in a tile view format. Thus all the handset users with Android-based phones and tabs were able to use it for free and use them with great ease.

Now, even the iPhone users were able to access Google Meet over their devices which was not possible earlier for the obvious reasons. The users of Gmail were only allowed to accommodate 49 users for their meeting earlier, but this new update can allow you to get connected with more people in a big way. Also, it seems to have allowed people to use it beyond the said number along with unlimited time duration and with features like recording and other things like what we used to Zoom. There is much to use with this feature and this is simply a tip of iceberg and the company has more surprises for the audience.
