Facebook Planning to Add Wrist Based Inputs for its AR Glasses

Facebook is working hard to incorporate augmented reality or AR and virtual reality VR technologies when it comes to giving new to the audience.

The social media giant has been working hard to incorporate augmented reality or AR and virtual reality VR technologies when it comes to giving new to the audience. As per reports, the company head, Mark Zuckerberg is planning to come up with something new to the computing platform. Earlier, the social media firm was seen announcing Project Aria that remains the research project helping the company to create the first generation wearable AR devices. As per reports, the company has embarked with several research projects that come in the form of AR glasses in order to choose employees and contractors for helping people understand and create the required hardware and software for the future AR devices.

The company was seen coming out with its new research efforts for its wrist based input technology when it comes to interacting with the AR glasses that are going to dynamically adapt to the user and their environment. One of the pressing issues that has come into augmented reality is the input in itself. While the new computing platforms have been defined by the way we interact with the help of punch cards over the keyboard, touch screens and mice. The AR glasses would need newer methods of interaction claims Mike Shcroepfer the new Chief Technology Officer at Facebook. He informed that after exploring a wide range of neural input choices for addressing a number of AR interaction issues, the AR and VR team of Facebook has now named it as Facebook Reality Labts the previous year.

This wrist based input device has become the most exciting choice in the recent past as the wrist based input approach is called the best option for the day to day use.  They claim that the wrist remains the traditional choice to have anything wearable over your body, claims the company in the recent blog post. Hence they feel that any wrist based wearable machine remains the key place to be checked first and thus serve the platform for PCs and other places as the company tends to support a broad collection of sensors. It is worth checking here how Facebook seemed to have gained a neural interface startup CTRL labs that comes in September 2019. As Facebook was seen joining this venture, they are keen on presenting custom made models before the audience.

There are able things to be done by the company and this seems to be the start by the Facebook team who are now looking forward to having an interesting effort for their audience. As per the recent interviews of the Facebook chief, the company is now putting efforts to make the user experience better than before. Hence the idea of FB Reality Labs is seen taking shape to give a wide range of virtual interactions. But at the same time, it is also noted that these very initiatives were in the early days. Well, let’s see how things move but at the moment it appears to be rosy for the consumers. Let’s wait and watch!
