Amazon employees To Have ‘online walkout’ to go Against the warehouse workers’ firings and treatment

Amazon employees are calling upon the colleagues to stage an online walkout to demand to reinstate the company fired workers along with protesting over the treatment of warehouse workers during the COVID 19 outbreak.

In the recent move by the Amazon workers, the corporate employees are calling upon the colleagues to stage an online walkout to demand to reinstate the company fired workers along with protesting over the treatment of warehouse workers during the COVID 19 outbreak. For participating in the walkout as planned for the 24th April would be carrying out a personal day off at the same time. This will be organized by the employee advocacy group Amazon Employees for the Climate Justice. The previous week, Amazon was seen firing employee advocacy group Amazon Employee for the Climate Justice.

Earlier, the two leaders in the group consisted of people like Maren Costa and Emily Cunningham, who were earlier with their user experience designers at the company and who have remained as the vocal critics of Amazon’s climate stance along with the labor policies. Amazon later was seen firing Costa and Cunningham for the repeated kind of violation about the internal policies. The spokesperson earlier came with the company supporters which every employee’s rights for castigating the working conditions given by the employer. However, this has not come out with blanket immunity against any type of internal policies.

The Amazon Employee for Climate Justice was seen announcing the walkout during the virtual panel over this Thursday. The panel was coming out with a dialogue between the warehouse worker and the Amazon tech workers on the call claimed the group. Earlier, Costa claimed Amazon intervened in the efforts to carry out the panel by deleting invitations that were sent out to the other workers internally that the group has claimed as accepted by 1500 employees. The employees went on to claim that Amazon would be sick of the firing and would be silencing the pollution along with getting sick of racism along with putting sick of the climate crisis.

The spokesperson of the ecommerce company has denied to comment about the event carried out by the corporate workers. By carrying out the virtual walkout, the group really wanted to add pressure over Amazon in order to change the way the workers would respond against the policies including taking back the workers who were seen firing on the selective enforcement of policies along with the behavior guidelines. The group further wants Amazon in order to change its external communication policy without preventing the employees from talking about the business of the company without approval from the management.

The Amazon Employees for Climate Justice seemed to have come with a success in making the demands that are heard in the past. At the shareholder of Amazon meeting held the previous year, Cunningham known for Amazon reducing the usage of fossil fuels. The group was further seen crediting for influencing the decision of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos to announce a sweeping climate change plan as discussed in the last September. Now, the employees are posing demands to call Amazon to carry out the permanent the key benefits changes along with paying the boost up for the warehouse workers during the COVID 19 pandemic.
