Facebook Bans Ads for Hand Sanitizer and Other Similar Products

Facebook has banned all the commercial ads showcasing hand sanitizer, which has surfaced disinfecting the wipes along with the test kits meant for the fatal Coronavirus

In the wake of the COVID 19 outbreak, there is an interesting news coming out from the social media giant called Facebook. The social networking site Facebook on Thursday has banned all the commercial ads showcasing hand sanitizer, which has surfaced disinfecting the wipes along with the test kits meant for the fatal coronavirus. As per the Product Management department led by Mr. Rob Leathern of the social media giant, Facebook has banned all such sanitizer ads. While tweeting about the same, the director of the company also elaborated the news in his recent blog post.

Facebook Hand Sanitizer Ads

He categorically asked everyone to remove all the ads related to commercial ads for hand sanitizer along with other products that have appeared of late on the sites like Facebook and Instagram which involves selling of the said items online using the said social media sites. This decision was taken two weeks earlier when Facebook was seen announcing the temporary ban on these ads along with starting up the listing for medical face masks as well. But with the mask ads still going viral and appearing on the platform this week, things finally got into the right shape.

Talking about the same the director said that this is yet another step that would help in protecting the consumers against the inflated cost along with the predatory behavior that are seen in the market, claimed Leathern on Twitter. He further added saying that by ramping up the automated enforcement for the sanitizer ads along with the commerce coming in the next week, if the company finds any abuses on the organic posts then they would get rid of the same soon. It was this Wednesday when the company in its recent blog post was seen sending all the home contract workers back to home to check and review the content that is posted over the social media site for their services.

The company was later seen saying that since it also comprises people who are going to review the ads along with the monetized content, one can find transition for reducing and remoting out the workforce which would eventually mean more reliance over the automated technology. This will help in resulting in the delayed review for sanitizer ads along with the commerce listings that come as an increase in the ads found incorrectly over the disapproved and delayed or reduced kind of appeals found with the limited availability of Facebook video ads along with the lower amount of delivery claimed by the company.

Facebook is not just the only platform which is seen combating with the surge of ads that are seen gripping up with the enforcement bodies ever since the advent of the COVID 19 virus. Earlier the search engine giant Google was also seen saying that it would help in slashing down the running of the medical face masks ads as seen over the shopping listing but the media on the other side was seen reporting that on Wednesday Google and other tech companies would be avoiding the display of ads of these products. Google was seen saying that it did manage to help in removing millions of ads that were seen accepting leverage on coronavirus by any case.
