He said he was dismayed to see such fake news and info about the downright lies that are seen propagating via their platforms claimed the Democrat. He also said that they are allowing racist language and theme thus adding as an insult to injury. Rush was seen point out the example that was race based info about the virus coming on the social media. He then tagged his tweet to CEO Jack Dorsey by commenting over the post.

While tweeting he said how could Twitter allow such things to happen when it is seen spreading the blatant info and thus talking lies about the spread. He was seen claiming that the virus was seen affecting the people with their color and without actually supporting by evidence. While the portal of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was seen saying that ailment can be anyone sick irrespective of their race and ethnicity. While commenting about the same, he said even Facebook has seen coming with similar content without reviewing the same. He alleged the two groups that they are responsible in spreading the lies about the virus.

He further said that these things have added the race based violence as well all across the world who are seen trying to lull certain racial groups entering into the danger zone and thus giving a false sense of security irrespective of their susceptibility about the ailment. The Coronavirus has remained the latest topic of discussion and debate apart from being the trending content to talk allowing people even to spread fake news and claims about the same. On the other side, the social media platforms have taken all the measurements to play safe and combat about the fake news claimed the officials of both the sites.

They further claimed that both the companies were at the forefront in spreading the right info and awareness about the same. They were first to attend the meeting of the WHO about the virus.  It has even vouched to the fact that they would reduce the spread of misinformation among the masses via their platforms. Now, Rush has asked both the social media sites – Facebook and Twitter as to what preventive measurements are they taking to avoid misinformation about the virus. Both the companies have got the letter from Rush but they are yet to reply about the same or comment.
