It was just last month when Google announced that it is rolling out some new and interesting updates for Google Maps both for the Android and iOS users. The users now have a new layout of Google Maps, which commenced with a change of icon along with coming in the last week and now we have all the changes being announced once for all. One can find five new buttons with the Google Maps screen, which include Go, Explore, Contribute, Update and Saved. All these were, however, present in the menus but they were hidden inside the menu. These all re very useful for the users in finding the best way to get something new and interesting.
One can find the reviews of different places on the Maps, one can visit along with getting recommendations you would want to check out in the nearby along with quickly accessing a number of lists of places on maps, one would want to visit during his or her travel to any desired destination. Talking about the first button of Google Maps explore, it helps in getting good recommendations for nearby restaurants that one would like to visit. It also showcases different events in the city you visit apart from getting the top cuisines in different places.
The next Google Maps tab called “Go” also known as “Commute” can include all the info about the destinations one could find on the system along with seen over the nearby public transit lines. It also helps you get home or office safely via your car. In other words, it gives you all the handy information at one glance. The next Google Maps button comes in the form of Saved. It helps in getting quick access to things you want to visit. Hence if you visiting any place you can save the list of places you want to visit there. It can save a number of things like food malls, parking and many more things.
Next comes the tab to Google Maps called Contribute, which helps in finding out spots of their own reviews. Thus you can have all the reviews and ratings of the places and other things you want to avail or procure on maps. This is a Google way of crowdsourcing data from a different set of users hence one can check the reviews and pictures that can go to the public. Last comes the update tab that is seen over the bottom right side. This is similar to the tab of Explore and helps in getting the curated content that is popped up on the news.
