It was days when the users of MS Office used to view and then edit the Docs films from one Drive App, however, Google was seen splitting them over the multiple editing apps. The company is now seen going back to its old days by combining all the Android versions of Excel, Word and PowerPoint in a single app to rule them all. The company was seen testing the combined office app over early 2019 and it is released to the public preview in the month of November. However, with the beta program that is seen reverting to the private testing coming after that point via the APK’s was seen keeping trickling over the APK Mirror and now the app is seen left behind completely.

This new office app will be allowing the users to browse all their OneDrive files, along with editing anything over the Word documents along with the PowerPoint, or Excel documents without actually opening any of the separate tools. At the same time, it is going to synchronize with the Windows 10 notes application as well along with including the different varieties found over the Office Lens scanner. Lastly, one can see the QR code reader as well, in case the user would require one of those for any other reason.

Unfortunately, there is one major warning that is seen coming from the company for this new Office app, which further suggests that there is barely any support for coming from the tablets or Chromebooks whatsoever. Although the current MS Office like Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps are seen working smooth over the large-screen devices like the Chromebooks, along with the new app, which is seen getting locked to the portrait mode along with having no tablet-specific user interface. We have seen asking Microsoft for asking if the tablet support is seen coming up. It is also not very much clear if the separate office apps that would be discontinued at the very same time that comes in the new combined app. If this does not happen, the users are seen coming up with the old functionality is ported over.
