The mobile world congress remains the biggest meet in the technology industry. But as per the latest buzz, the upcoming conference slated for 2020 seems to be cancelled. It’s because of the coronavirus epidemic. The conference called the Global System for Mobile Communications often called GSMA has been called off now, it was slated to be organized on 14th Feb this year while the Mobile World Congress which was organized from 24-27 Feb this year. While issuing the statement in the media, John Hoffman the CEO of GSMA claimed that the said meet at Barcelona has been cancelled. The said congress attracts not less than 10k delegates all across the world.

The conference also adds a good boost the local economy of Barcelona, Spain in a big way. This has even hampered the companies participating particularly the one called Realme who was supposed to debut in the market would add the jeopardy in the nation. Nevertheless, less number of companies were seen attending this year with the threat of the said coronavirus that leads to skip the event. Some of the companies include that include Amazon, LG, Sony, Ericsson, Vivo, Nokia, Intel, Facebook, and Nvidia along with a number of top tech companies were supposed to attend but this year with the cancellation of the tech conference due to the backdrop of Coronavirus fears, no one would be seen major health risk being the key with their absence from the conference.

The people at GSMA have been responding well by rejecting to attend the conference. However, these preventive measurements were not seen convincing for the leading companies that are seen blowing the balloon. At this point of time, the mobile companies are seen attending the MWC like Realme and Xiamoi which has decided to take on the decision of GSMA. The companies like Realme were supposed to embark with their smartphone in the market and hence it is likely to miss it.
